How to Convert a Baby Changing Dresser

While the birth of a new baby is expected, you have many decisions to make, not least of which are the nursery furnishings. There are many options for nursery furniture. One of them may be a baby changing dresser. Fortunately, with a little ingenuity and imagination you can give a dual function vanity by converting to a baby changing dresser. You not only save some much needed money, also will free up some space in the nursery.

Choose a sideboard that is a comfortable height and has ample drawer space. An unfinished piece is adequate. Paint the baby changing dresser to match the decor of the nursery, or repainted if you prefer. Cut a piece of foam 1 inch to the dimensions of the upper part comfortable. Cut fabric to the dimensions of the upper comfortable hand, the addition of 2 1/2 to 3 inches on each side.

Any fabric to match the decor of the nursery is acceptable. Starting at the front of the drawers, double under the raw edge of the fabric so that it becomes even with the edge of the upper part comfortable. Cut decorative frames for the length of the front and sides of the dresser.
